I thought no one read my blog or posted comments anymore, when in reality Blogger had been hiding them from me! Bad Blogger! <whap> There, it should behave itself now.
Chaffin, I'm glad you like the baby counter. Our role-playing group does mostly white wolf stuff. Currently we're in the middle of a Dark Ages changing breeds campaign. That is to say, we're playing in the time setting of the middle ages, and we're all were-creatures. I'm a weredragon, Jesse is a werebear, Stephen is a wereraven, Kenneth is a werecheetah, Cam is a wererat, and Daniel is the DM. The last few sessions have included Ken ripping apart a stewman, who albeit creepy seemed mostly harmless (an emphasis on seem here), then attacking Cam while his back was turned and hence our kitty friend became two friends, head and torso. The next session we brought him back to life, but, uh, that might have been a horrible idea. Ah well. Last week Jesse and Kenneth couldn't play so instead we had our game of four hour mini-Assassin (look up Assassin on Wikipedia). And this week Kenneth may be gone again, and Cam will be up in the mountains with his parents, so we are going to play Rifts instead. With Jude! How exciting. Then the weekend after that is another Assassin day.
Yes, dad, I really did eat brie thinking it was custard pie.
Nikki, I too am looking forward to Kingdom Hearts 2 and think that playing it together would be awesome.
As for the party. No, I did not end up throwing one. Partially because I didn't see anyone respond to the post (oh, silly me) but also because, well, it's one of those things. Instead I spent New Year's Day with my parents and Daniel, vegging out and playing Soul Calibur, mostly. I think that was a good thing. I also think that maybe summer would be a better time, if I do decide I want to hang out with kiddoes from high school. But, I don't know. I'm not really close to many people anymore anyways. I think the only people I have any connection with anymore are Chaffin and Shivani (you know, the blog thing), Eric (who occasionally IMs me to ask if I'm playing WoW - which reminds me, must make an alliance character on Warsong), Vicki (who has IMed me a couple times), Sarah and Amy ('cause, y'know, they go here), Srav (who sends me occasional emails), and... ummm... Ah, well I do run into Aaron and "Screech" in the engineering center reasonably often (I'm actually in a class right now with Aaron). That seems like quite a mish-mash. But whatever. Mostly, I just don't have the motivation to organize an event I'm not really anticipating being fun.
"And sometimes, when I think about hanging out with someone, I get tired. I don't want to have to explain my life to people that aren't in it anymore."
That goes for me as well, I'd say. But alas.
And, well, I'll keep in mind that you don't want posts about my teachers being on facebook that are two lines long. Thanks for letting me know about all the hidden comments.
Eh, yes, off to take my shower, which is what I really should be doing right now. Dang you, Blogger! Quit distracting me!

dvorak
I'm currently typing in Dvorak. It's... interesting. And slow. Very slow.
Not much has happened lately. On Saturday I participated in the game of "Assassin." This included an enjoyable amount of stalking Travis, having my throat slit with a plastic spoon, engaging in an honorable paper tube battle with Steven, and hiding out in Duane for ten minutes with a bag of sand.
I've also found the time to cut out a bunch of squares of paper, label them with letters, and tape them onto my keyboard. And voila, a Dvorak keyboard! Here is a picture:
Oif, it's hard to type on. Even when I look at my hands...
Though I've discovered that trying to do ctrl-c is really difficult now without Dvorak turned on.
Yes! I typed the entire entry without switching to qwerty! And yes, that is part of the reason why this entry was so short.

konnichiwa, sekai
I just wrote up how to write a "Hello World" C++ program. In Japanese.
I'm tired. That took way too long.
